ORDINANCE N0. ~' ~f
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT ELM STREET IN THE CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS
SHALL BE A TWO WAY STREET FROM AVENUE A TO THE EAST SIDE OF THE SQUARE.
WHEREAS, the Streets and Traffic Committee of the City of Canton,
Illinois has determined that it is necessary, desirable and to the best
interests of the City of Canton to make Elm Street a two way street from
Avenue A to the East Side of the Square; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois has made
a similar determination.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CANTON, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:

1. Elm Street from Avenue A to the East Side of the Square is hereby
designated as a two way street upon which traffic shall move from East to
West and from West to East.
2. That the appropriate officials of the City shall post appropriate
signs informing people of this Ordinance.
3. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon its
passage by the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois and approval
by the Mayor thereof.
