AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE REMOVAL OF STOP SIGNS AT THE INTERSECTION
OF NORTH FIRST AVENUE AND EAST CHESTNUT STREET IN THE CITY OF CANTON,
ILLINOIS.
WHEREAS, the Streets and Traffic Committee of the City of Canton,
Illinois has determined that it is necessary, desirable and to the best
interests of the City of Canton to remove stop signs at the intersection
of North First Avenue and East Chestnut Street in the City of Canton,
Illinois; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois has made
a similar determination.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON,
ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
1. Stop signs shall be removed at the following intersections:
Northwest corner and Southeast corner of North First Avenue at the
intersection of East Chestnut Street and North First Avenue.
Northwest corner and Southwest corner of East Chestnut Street at the
intersection of North First Avenue and East Chestnut Street.
2. That the appropriate officials of the City shall remove the stop
signs at said intersections.
3. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon its
passage by the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois and approval
by the Mayor thereof.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois and
