ti~~HEREAS, Canton Union School District `Lumber G6 is the
owner of a parcel of real estate at 7Q0 East Oal: Street, Canton,
Illinois, and the Isaac Swan School is situated in the northwesterly
portion of the land owned by same school district. The entire
parcel being described as follows:
A part of the Northwest Quarter of Section
35, Township 7 :forth, Range 4 East of the
Fourth Principal P~leridian, described as
follows: Commencing at a point where the
South line of Oalc Street in the City of
Canton, Illinois, intersects with t}le bast
line of :Marshall Fisher's Addition to
Canton; running thence South along the
East line of what is known as "The Old Fair
Grounds" to the South line of said Plorth-
west Quarter of Section 35, thence Fast
53-1/3 rodsp thence North to the South line
of East Oak Street, thence West 53-1/3 rods
to the place of beginning, excepting a
tract conveyed for public highway purposes
and the portion heretofore conveyed. to Linn
Lanes, Inc., a corporation, situated in
Canton Township, Fulton County, Illinois,
and;
WHEREAS, Canton Union School District slumber 66 desires to
construct a school bus garage in the northeasterly portion of the
above-described real estate. The said school district has heretofore
petitioned the city of Canton for a special use permit in order to
build said garage, because the entire parcel of real estate abDVe-
described is in the R-2 district of the city of Canton and;
WIiEREAS, the petition of said school district for said special
use permit dated i~1ay 16, 1978, was heretofore transmitted to the plan-
ning commission and said planning commission recommended that a special
use permit be issued for the construction of said school bus garage
as this was deemed necessary in the public interest or convenience;

TIIF: CITY OF CANTON} ILLINOIS:
SECTION 1. That Canton Union School. District Number 66 be granted
a special use permit for t}ie construction of a school bus
garage in the northeasterly portion of the real estate
described above.
SECTIOII Z .
That this ordinance shall he in effect from and after it's
passage and approval from the mayor.
