ORDINANCE N0. ~~
AN ORDINANCE REPEALING TITLE 9, CHAPTER 10, SECTION 2 (E) OF THE CANTON
MUNICIPAL CODE CONCERNING PARKING IN A BUS LOADING AREA.
WHEREAS, the Streets & Traffic Committee and the Legal and Ordinance
Committee of the City of Canton, Illinois have determined that it is
necessary, desirable and to the best interests of the City of Canton
to repeal and delete Title 9, Chapter 10, Section 2 (E) of the Canton
Municipal Code because the South side of West Pine Street between White
Court and South Main Street is no longer a bus stop; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois has
made a similar determination.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CANTON, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
1. That Title 9, Chapter 10, Section 2 (E) of the Canton Municipal
Code be, and the same is hereby repealed and deleted from the Canton
Municipal Code.
2. That the remainder of Title 9, Chapter 10, Section 2, Parking,
of the Canton Municipal Code remain in full force and effect.
3. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon its
passage by the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois and approval
by the Mayor thereof.
