Payne on Linn Street in the City of Canton, Illinois WHEREAS, it appearing to the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois that the territory hereinafter described is located within the corporate limits of said City of Canton, Illinois and is currently zoned in an R-2 zoning configuration, and IT FURTHER A PPEA RING to said City Council that a Petitiion for R.e-zoning has been filed by the Petitioners, LENDEL W. PAYNE and DORIS M. PAYNE, to re-zone the property hereinafter described to a B-2 zoning configuration, and IT FURTHER APPEARING to said City Council that a public hearing was conducted for the ~'lanning and Zoning Commission of the City of Canton, Illinois in accordance with the law and that on the 10th day of October, 1977 said Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously recommended that the property hereinafter described be re-zoned from an R-2 zoning configuration to a B-2 zoning configuration. THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That the territory described as follows: Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 of Block 1, A . J. Whitnah Addition to the City of Canton, County of Fulton and State of Illinois, be and the same is hereby zoned as a B-2 zoning configuration according to the City Code of the City of Canton, Illinois. Section 2. PAYNE of certain real estate which can generally be described as being located at the Southeast Corner of Linn Street and South Seventh Avenue in the City of Canton, Illinois. Said premises is more particularly described as follows: Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 of Block 1, A. J. Whitnah Addition to the City of Canton, County of Fulton and State of Illinois. The Petition filed herein requests that the above property be rezoned from an R-2 zoning configuration to a B»2 zoning configuration so that the property may be utilized as a retail sales establishment for the sales and repair of lawn and garden tractors, motorcycles and similar items.
