AN ORDINANCE
amending Chap. 8, Sec. 3-8-7,
City Code of Canton, Illinois
WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of the Liquor Control
Commission of the City of Canton, Illinois, that it is in the
best interest of efficient and effective regulation of sales
of alcoholic liquors at bowling alleys to extend the hours of
sale at said bowling alleys until eleven o'clock (11:00.) p.m. on
each Sunday; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois,
has also made a similar conclusion concerning said hours of
sale at bowling alleys;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUr1CIL OF THE
CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
Section l: That a portion of Title 3, Chap. 8, Sec. 7
of the Canton City Code, specifically the following portion
thereof, to-wit:
"Class 2 A, Bowling Alley License. Six o'clock (6:00)
a.m. to one o'clock (1:00) a.m. on each weekday and
from twelve (12:00 noon to ten o'clock (10:00) p.m. on
each Sunday."
be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows,
to-wit:
"3-8-7: HOURS OF SALE. ... Class 2 A, Bowling Alley
License. Six o'clock (6:00) a.m. to one o'clock (1:00)
a.m. on each weekday and from twelve (12:00) noon to
eleven o'clock (11:00) p.m. on each Sunday."
Section 2: That the remainder of Title 3, Chap. 8, Sec. 7,
HOURS OF SALE, remain in full force and effect.
PASSED by a majority vote of th City Council of the City of
