CITY OF CANTON RESOLUTION OF SUPPORT
SINGLE-FAMILY OWNER-OCCUPIED HOUSING REHABILITATION PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the City of Canton wishes to apply for a grant from the Illinois Housing
Development Authority to establish asingle-family owner-occupied housing
rehabilitation program to assist low and very-low income residents rehabilitate their
homes; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary that an application be made and agreements entered into with
the Illinois Housing Development Authority for such grant funds;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED as follows:
1. That the City of Canton apply for asingle-family owner-occupied housing
rehabilitation grant under the terms and conditions as established by the Illinois
Housing Development Authority and that the City of Canton shall enter into and
agree to the understandings and assurances contained in said application;
2. That the Mayor Kevin Meade and City Clerk Nancy Whites on behalf of the
City of Canton execute such documents and all other documents necessary for
the carrying out of said application; and
3. That Mayor Kevin Meade and City Clerk Nancy White are authorized to
provide such additional information as may be required to accomplish the
obtaining of such grant.
