A special meeting of the Canton City Council was held on April 21, 2023 (1:30pm) at the Historic

Depot located at 50 North 4 Avenue Canton Illinois with zoom attendance available.

CONSENT AGENDA
COMMITTEE REPORTS:
DISCUSS, CONSIDER AND VOTE ON MUNICIPAL AGGREGATION PROGRAM AGREEMMENT.
Mayor McDowell relayed the rates that were given from Constellation and Homefield.
Constellation is a 100% fixed rate at 0.12642 for 12 months and 0.12528 for 18 months.
Homefield is 0.13474 for 12 months and did not offer anything for 18 months.
Discussion took place about the differences in the two companies with the end decision being
Constellation for 12 months at 0.12642.
Residents can opt out at any point if they do not wish to use this service.
Motion and second were made by Alderpersons Nelson/Hale to waive the first reading.
