NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the City of Canton Illinois that the tentative annual
budget for fiscal year beginning May 1, 2023 and ending April 30, 2024 will be on file and
conveniently available for public inspection at the City Clerk’s Office, 2 North Main Street,
Canton Illinois from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. beginning on or before the 5th day of April, 2023.
A copy will also be available on the City of Canton’s website at www.cantonillinois.org.
PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that a public
hearing on said tentative annual budget will be held at 6:00 p.m. on the 18th day of April, 2023

at 50 N. 4 Avenue, Canton IL 61520. In addition to attending in person, the public may also
attend remotely via Zoom. The Zoom information is as follows:

All interested persons are invited to attend the hearing and be heard. Written
comments shall be submitted to the City Clerk, 2 N. Main Street, Canton, IL 61520
(or via e-mail to awalters@cantoncityhall.org) and received by 5:00 p.m. on April 17, 2023
in order to be considered at the public hearing.
