DISCUSS, CONSIDER AND VOTE ON A RESOLUTION OF SUPPORT FOR AN APPLICATION TO THE
STATE OF ILLINOIS FOR A COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT.
Mayor McDowell asked Keith Plavec if the amount was $1,500,000.00 for the West Hickory
water line.
Keith replied yes, this a community development block grant similar to the grant that we had
for the Lincoln Street school area. He went on to say that the project we chose is the water
main replacement along Avenue D from Walnut to Maple to Hickory. The main is about 6,600
feet
Motion and second were made by Alderpersons Lingenfelter/Hale to approve the resolution of
support for an application to the state of Illinois for a community development block grant in the
amount of $1,500,000.00.
