Mayor Edwards asked for roll call at 6:30 p.m. Present -Aldermen Hartford, Sarff, Phillips, Nidiffer, Meade, Shores, May. Motion by Alderman Sarff, second by Alderman Nidiffer all bills properly approved and the additional bills be paid. (Additional bills...Claudon, Barnhart, Kost, Beal Lmt for legal services $3,219.57; Semi annual Rural Development Loan Fund $22,800; and the bills listed under Greenwood Cemetery be paid from the General Fund. Council Action Motion by Alderman Sarff, second by Alderman May, to accept the low bid of Supreme Radio in the amount of $18,438.50; and to allow $634.50 paid from drug forfeiture fund to install radios in squad cars; and to seek buyers for 4 used radios to be able to purchase sirens. Motion by Alderman Sarff, second by Alderman Shores, to approve a 3 year AED Maintenance Contract at an annual cost of $1,300.80, and paid over 3 years with the maintenance plan for the external defibrillators on a semi annual inspection and certification. Motion by Alderman Sarff, second by Alderman Nidiffer, to approve the purchase of a pulse-oximeter for the lead engine at the Fire Department, using $507.44 from the rescue fund and $171.51 from the general fund. Motion by Alderman Sarff, second by Alderman Hartford, the approval of the purchase for the Water Plant of repairs on the Lake road and Campground road using CA-6 from Duck Island in the amount of $3,500. Motion by Alderman Sarff, second by Alderman Phillips, to approve the purchase for the Water Plant to replace the air conditioner line for the 2nd floor of the water plant from Reinmann Heating & Cooling in the amount of $860. Motion by Alderman Sarff, second by Alderman Meade, to approve the purchase from Pratt AV & Video Corporation of a AV system for the Depot in the amount not to exceed $25,000 and to waive the bidding process; and the purchase of sound panels in the amount of $3,038 plus shipping and paid from TIF funds. The time of the council meeting will be the usua16:30 p.m. Motion by Alderman Sarff, second by Alderman Meade, to accept the low bidder for the ~... five LAPP Projects FY-2001 and the combination bid was United Paving & Construction, Inc, & Pschirrer Asphalt Co in the amount of $484,447.58. (Maurer Stutz Inc gave the following report on this project by letter...The City's share of Construction Cost is $96,889.52 (20%) plus Design Engineering of $24,222.38 (5%). Construction Observation is based on manhours actually worked and is estimated to be about 12% of the Contract Cost which would be approximately $58,100. These items total $179,211.90. There wil be a cost for the contractor to clean the pavement which is a force account item (Labor & Equipment). The City's total cost should still be around $200,000 or less.) Roll call. Mayor Edwards reported the death of former Alderman Louie Sepich yesterday. And former Alderman Lawrence Cook died a week ago. Mayor Edwards asked us to keep the family in our prayers as they have our deepest sympathy. Fireworks committee decided to allow collections on water bills from January through July each year. From the billing cycle this month of the water department, donations rceived was $465 Jim Snider reported. Mayor Edwards encouraged donations during the fireworks display this year, and thanked those making donations. Motion by Alderman Sarff, second by Alderman Hartford, to approve the Water Plant purchase of Ammonia Sulphate Pump from Sidener in the amount of $630. Roll call.
