COMMUNICATIONS FROM MAYOR BOHLER.
Treasurer’s Report. Mayor
Bohler reported that Patty Beaird Franzoni is ill, so there will be no report.
Present Plaque to the Canton Football Team. Mayor Bohler invited the team members to
the Council meeting, and Mayor Bohler said to the team members, we want to let the
Canton Football Team know that the City of Canton is very proud of what you have

accomplished this last year of a 9-0 season, which I understand is only the 3 time in
Canton history. This is something to be very proud of, and the City of Canton is very
proud of you! Mayor Bohler then presented a plaque to the team, and it
reads…Congratulations to the Canton Varsity Football Team on their 2003 conference
championship of a 9-0 season. From Mayor Jerry M. Bohler and the City Council. Each
member of the Canton Varsity Football Team that was present then introduced
themselves.

NEW BUSINESS:
ORDINANCE – AMENDING ORDINANCE NUMBER 959 ENTITLED, “AN
ORDINANCE INITIATING AND COOPERATIVELY DESIGNATING AN
ENTERPRISE ZONE”.
First reading, read by title.
RESOLUTION – APPROVING A PRE-ANNEXATION AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE CITY OF CANTON AND CHARLES AND DARLENE
WINSTON. Motion
First reading, read by title. and second by Aldermen Carl/Reed,
the resolution be adopted. Roll call. AYES – Aldermen Hartford, West, Sarff, Harn,
Carl, Reed. NAYS – None. 6 AYES, 0 NAYS, 2 ABSENT. Motion carried.
Resolution being #3673-A.
EXECUTIVE SESSION – PURPOSE - DISCUSSING NEGOTIATIONS,
GRIEVANCE & PERSONNEL; AND PERSONNEL. Motion
and second by
Aldermen Sarff/West, to go into executive session for the purpose of discussing
Negotiations, Grievance & Personnel; and Personnel. Roll call. AYES – Aldermen
Reed, Carl, Harn, Sarff, West, Hartford. NAYS – None. 6 AYES, 0 NAYS, 2
ABSENT. Motion carried.

The regular scheduled council meeting convened for the Executive Session at this time,
which was 6:47 p.m.
The Executive Session for Negotiations, Grievance & Personnel; and Personnel
adjourned at 7:28 p.m. into open session with out any recommendations.
Adjournment. Motion
and second by Aldermen Hartford/West, to adjourn. Voice vote,
motion carried unanimously. The regular scheduled council meeting adjourned at 7:28
p.m.
The executive session minutes for Negotiations, Grievance & Personnel; and Personnel
are on file in the office of the City Clerk for review.
