V3B/ AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE SALE OF CERTAIN PERSONAL PROPERTY OWNED BY THE CITY OF CANTON AND NO LONGER NEEDED OR USEFUL FOR CITY PURPOSES TO CANTON UNION SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 66 WHEREAS,the corporate authorities have determined that the City of Canton presently owns certain items of personal property, set forth in "Exhibit A" attached hereto, which are no longer necessary or useful to, or for the best interest of the City (hereinafter collectively the "Personal Property"). NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON,Fulton County,Illinois as follows: 1. The City of Canton hereby finds as fact the recitals set forth above and are incorporated herein as though fully set forth; 2. The Personal Property is hereby authorized to be sold to Canton Union School District No. 66,pursuant to the Bills of Sale substantially in the form attached hereto as "Exhibit B." 3. No further advertisement of the above-described sale is necessary. 4. The Mayor, or his designee, is authorized to execute any and all titles,bills of sale, or other documents necessary to accomplish sale of the Personal Property as set forth above. 5. That this Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its passage by the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois,by at least a majority vote of the Corporate Authorities and approval of the Mayor thereof.
