a new and further public hearing on February 15, 1977 for the purpose of
obtaining new and further testir~:ony as to current conditions ~faithin said
area; and,
~drTEA:EAS, at said hearing this City heard testimon~r which, pursuant to the
criteria established by said Section 11-11-1 of said Cha~~ter ?4, justifies the
City in finding the area hereinabove described to be a "blighted" are:.; and,

1. That there e.~ist in the <zrea hereinabove described buildings and
ir.~provements ~.ahich, by reason of dilapidation, overcrowding, faulty arrangement
and design, and deleterious land use, are a detrit.lent to ~)ublic safety, health
~:~nd morals.
2. That, accordingly, said area is hereby found to be a blighted area
tiaith_in the me anin~ of said Section 11-11-1 of Chapter L4 of the Illinois
revised Statutes, and so as to enable tills City to el~ercise the powers therein
set forth.
3. That said area is hereby design:~lted an integrated project for
redevelopment.
That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect upon its passage
by the City Council of the City of Canton, I11i_nois and alJproval by the l~~ayor
thereof.
