R E S O L U T I O N
A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING COST-OF-LIVING ALLOWANCE
WIiEREAS,the Corporate authorities of the City of Canton,
Illinois have, by Ordinance, provided for a cost-of-living allowance
to be computed and paid from time to time as therein provided and
during the Fiscal Year 1976-1977; and,
WHEREAS, the Corporate authorities of the City of Canton, Ill-
inois have now computed the cost-of-living allowance to be paid its
employees commencing with the first pay period in the month of
March, 1977.
NO[a, THEREFORE, BE IT, AND IT HEREBY IS RESOLVED BY THE CORPORATE
AUTHORIZIE~ of the City of Canton, Illinois, as follows:
(1) That the cost-of-living allowance to be paid to the em-
ployees of the City of Canton, Illinois shall be .06 (6 cents) per
hour for each hour worked commencing the week of March 1, 1977, and
in addition to any cost-of-living allowance heretofore authorized
during the Fiscal year, 1976-1977 (making a total of 27C per hour in
total cost-of-living for this fiscal year).
(2) That employees thereto entitled shall be paid e~fectl~~:the
lst_pay period in Mar. and shall be paid currently for each pay period
hereafter until computation and re-determination of the cost-of-living
allowance has again been made by the Corporate authorities as provided
by said Ordinance.
PASSED by the City Council of the /City of Canton, Illinois and
APPROVED by the Mayor thereof this ~~r~ day of March, 1977.
