A RESOLUTION APPOINTING AN AUTHORIZED AGENT FOR IMRF
WHEREAS, Section 7-137 of the Illinois Pension Code requires that participating
municipalities shall appoint an authorized agent for the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund
("IMRF") (40 ILCS 5/7-135);
WHEREAS, there is currently a vacancy in the City Clerk's office due to the retirement
and resignation of Diana Pavley-Rock, which became effective on August 4, 2022;
WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of Canton has appointed the City Treasurer, Crystal
Wilkinson, as the City's Authorized Agent, subject to approval by the City Council;
WHEREAS, the City Council hereby approves of the Mayor's appointment of the City
Treasurer, Crystal Wilkinson, as the City's Authorized Agent.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of of the City of Canton, Illinois,
the following:
1. The City's Treasurer, CRYSTAL WILKINSON, is hereby appointed as Authorized
Agent for the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund, effective immediately;
2. The Authorized Agent is hereby authorized to file a petition for the nomination of an
executive trustee of IN4RF;
3. The Authorized Agent is hereby authorized to case the ballot for election of an
executive trustee of the IMRF;
4. The City Council reserves the right to appoint a new Authorized Agent upon the
appointment of an Acting City Clerk;
5. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its passage by the
City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois.
