A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE PROVISIONS
OF THE INDUSTRIAL PROJECTS REVENUE BOND ACT
WHEREAS, the City of Canton, Illinois desires to
encourage additional industry within its locale and to
that end intends to make available to new and existing
industries the benefit of low cost, tax exempt financing
through the issuance of Industrial Project Revenue Bonds;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
(1) The City of Canton, Illinois hereby adopts the
provisions of the Industrial Projects Revenue Bond Act,
Illinois Revised Statutes, 1975, Chapter 24, Sections
11-74-1 through 11-74-13 (the "Act").
(2) The officers and the employees of this City
are hereby authorized and encouraged to do all acts reason-
ably required to assist qualified existing and prospective
new industry by carrying out all steps needed to facilitate
issuance of bonds under the Act.
(3) Existing and prospective new industrial companies
are encouraged to contact the Mayor of the City, at 210
East Chestnut Street, Canton, Illinois 61520, telephone
(309) 647-0065, for further information as to the City's
Industrial Projects Revenue Bond Program.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton,
Illinois and APPROVED by the Mayor thereof this
day of 1977.
