A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE CITIZENS PARTICIPATION PLAN FOR HOUSING AND COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS OF THE CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS.
WHEREAS, the City of Canton is participating in the Housing and Community Development
Program under the guidelines of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974,
as administered by the Department of Housing and Urban Development; and
WHEREAS, citizen involvement is an integral part of the Community Development
process; and
WHEREAS, the Canton Citizens Advisory Committee was formed and has duly reviewed
and adopted a Citizens Participation Plan and revised By-laws; NOW
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and members of the City Council of Canton,
Illinois, that the attached Citizens Participation Plan and revised By-laws (which
supersede By-laws approved July 5, 1977, Resolution #742) be adopted; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution shall be in full force and effect
after its passage in accordance to law.
