RESOLUTION N0. ~~
A RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF A USED FIRE TRUCK
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois
has determined that the best interest of the City will be subserved by purchasing
a used fire truck for the City of Canton; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Canton has further determined that
such a fire truck is a unique, one-of-a-kind item which is not susceptable to
purchase by competitive bidding; and,
WHEREAS, it has been made to appear to the City Council of the City of Canton
that Robert L. DeRenzy owns such a used fire truck which is available for purchase
for the price of $36,000.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, UPON CONSIDERATION, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois as follows:
1. That a used fire truck be purchased from Robert L. DeRenzy for the total
purchase price of $36,000.00, payable over a three year period.
2. That the requirements that such purchase be accomplished by the bidding
process be, and the same hereby are, waived for good cause shown.
3. That the Mayor, City Treasurer, City Clerk and all other affected City
Officials and Officers are hereby instructed to take such other and further
actions in the premises hereof as may be necessary to consumate the above
contemplated purchase.
4. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect upon its passage
by the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois and approval by the Mayor
thereof.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois and APPROVED by
