A RESOLUTION AU'T'HORIZING PAYMENT OF COST OF LIVING ALLOWANCE
FOR CERTAIN MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois has heretofore
by Resolution ~~894 established a cost of living allowance for the City's
full-time appointive employees; and,
WHEREAS, a cost of living adjustment for the months of May, June and July
of 1981 is now owed to certain persons holding appointments as full-time
appointive employees, all as more specifically set forth by Resolution ~~894;
and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois has now determined
the cost of living allowance to be paid for the foregoing months to be 22~ per
hour.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON,
ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
1. That persons holding full-time appointments of the positions more
specifically set forth in Resolution ~~894 are now entitled to receive a
22G per hour cost of living adjustment.
2. That persons holding the positions set forth in Resolution ~~894 are
as follows: Head Cashier - Catherine Emans; Assistant to the Director of
Public Works - No Person; Secretary to the Mayor - Rhonda Vogel; Animal
Control Officer - Robert Huggins; Other Secretaries - Kayma Duncan, Sandy
Richards, and Kristal Belless.
3. That each of the persons named in Paragraph X62, above, is now entitled
to receive a 22~ per hour cost of living adjustment. Accordingly, the City
Clerk and City Treasurer are hereby directed to cause such adjustment to be
made, not to exceed 5% per annum by reference to the Consumer Price Index as
of May 1, 1981.
4. That the foregoing allowance be paid as soon as practiicable immediately
following the passage of this Resolution and until the aforesaid entitlement is
fully paid.
5. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect upon its passage
by the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois and approval by the Mayor
thereof.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois and APPROVED by
