RESOLUTION NO.~~_
A RESOLUTION ABATING THE IMPOSITION OF CERTAIN TAXES
WHEREAS, the Corporate Authorities of the City of Canton, Illinois
heretofore enacted Ordinance Number 819 ,which, inter a1ia, provided for
the issuance of Special Service Area Bonds and which, further, provided a
levy therefor in the total amount of $ 2,888.00 for the years 1980
through 19 88 ; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Canton, Illinois has been unable to accomplish the
sale of the aforesaid bonds; and,
WHEREAS, by reason of such failure, taxes to be extended and collected by
the County Clerk of Fulton County, Illinois, for the period aforesaid, may
and ought to be abated.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT, AND IT HEREBY IS, RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the tax levy for the year 1980 through 19 88 for the purpose
of. paying principal and interest on Special Service Area Bonds for City of
Canton Special Service Area Number Four as provided by Ordinance No.
819 be, and the same hereby is, abated until further written notice '"

by the City of Canton.
_ 2. That the County Clerk of Fulton County, Illinois is hereby advised,
directed and authorized not to entend the sums as in Ordinance Number 819
provided until or unless said Clerk hereinafter be advised to the contrary
by the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois by appropriate Resolution
or Ordinance.
3. That the City Clerk of the City of Canton, Illinois is hereby directed
to file a certified copy of this Resolution with the County Clerk of Fulton
County, Illinois as said County Clerk's authorization to abate the imposition
of taxes as aforesaid.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois and APPROVED by
