Public hearing for the purpose of the proposed tax levy increase for the City of
Canton for 2020- The corporate and special purpose property taxes extended or
abated for 2019 were $2,829,568.34.
The proposed corporate and special purpose property taxes to be levied for 2020
are $3,119,770. This represents a 10.3% increase over the previous year.
The property taxes extended for debt service and public building commission
leases for 2019 were $0.
The estimated property taxes to be levied for debt services and public building
commission leases for 2020 are $0. This represents a 0% increase over the
previous year.
The total property taxes extended or abated for 2019 were $2,829,568.34.
The estimated total property taxes to be levied for 2020 are $3,119,770. This
represents a 10.3% increase over the previous year
