Notice is hereby given to all residents and property owners of City of La,Upn, Illinois and all users
of the Water Treatment Plant (WTP) and distribution system, etc. that a Public Hearing at Canton
City Hall, 2 N. Main Street, Canton, IL 61520 on October 6, 2020 at 6:00 P.M via Zoom.
The City plans to remove and replace approximately 240 residential lead service lines. This Public
Notice is to provide an opportunity for the public to provide comments on the City's proposed
construction. A project summary and Preliminary Environmental Impacts Determination
document provided by the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (Illin,ois EPA) is available for
review at City Hall, 2 N. Main Street, Canton, Illinois 61520. Interested piarties may also contact
Diana Pavely-Rock, City Clerk via phone at (309) 647-0065, or via email at
DPav_eItiCb7Cantoncityhall.org to request a copy. The document contains information including
the project costs, location, user rate impacts and potential environment impacts.
Due to social distancing requirements, and in an effort to protect the pu blit from potential
further spread of COVID-19, all persons interested in expressing their views on the proposed
lead service line replacement construction may attend the public hearing; by attending via a

This Notice is to provide access to the documents and to satisfy Section 662.530 of the Illinois
Procedures for Issuing Loans from the Public Water Supply Program fro"n the Illinois EPA. These
documents will be on file at City Hall for 10 days after the Public He,iring to allow for public
comment. Written comments can be submitted to the City or directly to Lanina Clark, Project
Manager at the Illinois EPA, Infrastructure Financial Assistance Section, P.O. Box 19276,
Springfield, Illinois 62794-9276.
