HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution #0925R i "" RESOLUTION NO. 925 A RESOLUTION SETTING REGULAR MEETING TIMES ,,AND PLACES OF THE CANTON CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR 1982 WHEREAS, the Legal and Ordinance Committee of the Canton City Council has determined that it is in the best interest of the City to set regular meeting dates and places for the calendar year in accordance with custom and law; and, WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Canton has made a similar determination. NOW, THEREFORE, UPON CONSIDERATION, BE IT, AND IT HEREBY IS, RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: 1. That all regular meetings of the Canton City Council shall be on the first and third Tuesday of each calendar month for the calendar year 1982. That all such meetings shall commence at the hour of 6:30 o'clock P.M., local time. 2. That all regular meetings of the clerical committees shall be held on the second Thursday of each calendar month for the calendar year 1982. That all such meetings shall commence at the hour of 6:30 o'clock P.M., local time. That, for purposes of this Resolution, "clerical committees" are defined to mean the following committees: Legal and Ordinance; Grievance, Negotiations and Personnel; Finance; and, Community and Industrial Development. 3. That all regular meetings of the mechanical committees shall be held on the fourth Thursday of each calendar month for the calendar year 1982. That all such meetings shall commence at the hour of 6:30 o'clock P.M., local time. That, for the purposes of this Resolution, "mechanical committees" are defined to mean the following committees: Public Safety and Traffic; Streets and Garbage; Lake, Buildings and Grounds; and, Public Works, Water and Sewer. 4. That all of the foregoing meetings, unless otherwise scheduled, shall be held in the Council Chambers, City Building, 210 E. Chestnut Street, Canton, Illinois. 5. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to mail certified copies of this Resolution to all media who have filed their request for notificat- ion of meetings times, dates and places with the said Clerk. And, that mailing of such certified Resolution, with proof of service in the City's files, shall constitute the giving of such notice. 6. That this Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its Passage by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois and Approval by the Mayor thereof.
