A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING COST OF LIVING ALLOWANCE FOR MEMBERS OF THE CITY
OF CANTON FIRE DEPARTMENT, LOCAL N0. 1897, INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF
FIRE FIGHTERS, AND CANTON POLICE DEPARTMENT, LOCAL N0. 759, AMERICAN FEDERATION OF
STATE, COUNTY AND MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES
WHEREAS, pursuant to agreement heretofore reached between the City of
Canton and each of the above Unions, the City of Canton has obligated itself
to pay unto such Union members quarterly cost of living allowances; and,
WHEREAS, members of the foregoing Unions are now entitled to receive
cost of living allowances which accrued to such members during the months of
November and December of 1981, and January of 1982; and,
WHEREAS, the cost of living entitlement for the foregoing period has
now been determined to have been in the amount of 9 cents (.09) per hour for
each of the aforesaid months.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON,
FULTON COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the cost of living allowance to be paid the then members of each
of Local No. 1897, International Association of Fire Fighters, and Local No. 759,
Amercian Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, for the months of
November and December of 1981, and January of 1982, is 9 cents (.09) per hour.
2. That this cost of living allowance shall be paid as soon as practicable
immediately following the passage of this Resolution and until the aforesaid
entitlements have been fully paid.
3. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect upon its passage
by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois and approval
by the Mayor thereof.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois
and APRROVED by the Mayor thereof this 2nd day of March 1982.
