A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING COST OF LIVING ALLOWANCE FOR CITY OF CANTON
DEPARTMENT HEADS .
WHEREAS, the Committee on Negotiations, Grievance and Personnel has
heretofore determined that it is in the best interest of the City of Canton
to grant its department heads a quarterly cost of living allowance; and,
WHEREAS, the various department heads are now entitled to receive an
increase in cost of living allowance for the months of November and December
of 1981, and January of 1982; and,
WHEREAS, it has now been determined that the cost of living entitlement
for the aforesaid period is in the amount of 9 cents (.09) per hour.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CANTON, ILLINOIS AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the City's various department heads be paid a cost of living
allowance in the amount of 9 cents (.09) per hour for each of the months of
November and December of 1981, and January of. 1982.
2. That this cost of living allowance shall be paid as soon as practicable
immediately following the passage of this Resolution and until the aforesaid
entitlements have been fully paid.
3. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect upon its passage
by the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois and approval by the Mayor
thereof.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois and APPROVED
by the Mayor thereof this 2~d day of March 1982.
