RESOLUTION NO. ~~
A RESOLUTION APPROVING A "COOPERATION AGREEMENT" BETWEEN THE CITY
OF CANTON AND THE COUNTY OF FULTON
WHEREAS, the City of Canton and the County of Fulton have heretofore
determined to cooperate in making joint application for designation
of certain real property (yet to be determined) as an "Enterprise
Zone" by the State of Illinois; and,
WHEREAS, in furtherance of such goal it appears necessary to
enter into a Cooperation Agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois as follows:
1. That that certain "Cooperation Agreement," Exhibit A hereto
and herein incorporated by reference, is hereby approved by the Canton
City Council.
2. That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed
to execute the same (in at least triplicate original) on behalf of
the City of Canton.
3. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect
immediately upon its passage by the City Council of the City of
Canton, Fulton County, Illinois and approval by the Mayor thereof.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County,
Illinois at a regular meeting this 16th3ay of November ,
1982, upon a roll call vote as follows:
AYES: Aldermen Kovachevich, Hammond, Savill, Sarff, Grant, Carl, Larsen, Horr.
NAYS: None.
ABSENT: None.

the efforts of the City of Canton, Illinois in applying for an
Enterprise Zone designation from the Illinois Department o.f Com-
merce and Community Affairs, located in both the City and County.
As the cheif executives of our respective local governments, we
are signing this; agreement to cooperate as much as needed to
assist economic growth in the ~nterbrise Zone. The City of Canton
is hereby designated as the lead agency for the Enterprise Zone
ar:-lication and program. The City of Canton will be liable for
al? program administrative functions should the Enterprise Zone
be awarded.
