HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance # 1841APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE City of Canton Ordinance No. 1641 An ordinance appropriating for all corporate purposes of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, for the fiscal year beginning May 1, 2005, and ending April 30, 2006. BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois: SECTION 1: That the amount hereinafter set forth, or so much thereof as may be authorized by law, and as may be needed or deemed necessary to defray all expenses and liabilities of the municipality be and the same are hereby appropriated for the corporate purposes of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, as hereinafter specified for the fiscal year beginning May 1, 2005, and ending April 30, 2006. SECTION 2: That the appropriation herein made for any purpose shall be regarded as the maximum amounts to be expended under the respective appropriation accounts and shall not be construed as a commitment, agreement, obligation, or liability of the City of Canton, and such appropriation being subject to further approval as the expenditure thereof by the City Council. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after its passage, approval, and publication, Section 6: as provided by law. All interested citizens may attend the public hearing and shall have the right to provide oral and written comments on the Proposed Appropriation Ordinance. All interested citizens will be given an opportunity to be heazd at the meeting. Subsequent to the public hearing and before the final action is taken on the Proposed Appropriation Ordinance, the corporate authorities of the City of Canton may revise, alter, increase or decrease the items contained in said Appropriation Ordinance.
