AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING COMPENSATION FOR EMPLOYEES OF
THE CITY OF CANTON FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING MAY, 2005.
WHEREAS, the City of Canton, acting through its Council and with the approval
of the mayor, establishes for the fiscal year, the rates of compensation for the vazious city
employees, and
WHEREAS, the fiscal year beginning May, 2004 has expired and it is necessary
to establish rates for the ensuing fiscal yeaz, and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of
Canton, Illinois, as follows:
1. That rates of compensation for the fiscal yeaz beginning May, 2005 for
employees of the City of Canton aze to be effective as of and retroactive to
and inclusive of the date of May 1, 2005. Further, that said salazies aze in
addition to other emoluments and entitlements normally and customarily
extended to each such employee. The City Council reserves the right to
review the salazies for the Fiscal Yeaz 2005-2006 after the approval of the
Fiscal Budget, and the adoption of the Appropriations Ordinance. Upon
review of the salazies the City Council reserves the right to make any changes
in salazies retroactive to May 1, 2005.
2. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its
passage by the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois, and approval by
the Mayor thereof.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois, and approved by the Mayor

AYES: Aldermen Hartford, Berardi, Sarff, West, Carl, Meade,
Reed, Schenck.
NAYS: ivone.
ABSENT: None.
