HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution #1024I RESOLUTION NO. 1024 A RESOLUTION APPROVING AND ACCEPTING ONE CERTAIN QUIT-CLAIM DEED WHEREAS, Stuart J. Wheeler and Hazel F. Wheeler are the owners of certain real property set forth in Exhibit A hereto attached; and, WHEREAS, Stuart J. Wheeler and Hazel F. Wheeler wish to convey said real property to the City of Canton; and, WHEREAS, the Canton City Council has determined that it is necessary and in the best interest of the City of Canton to acquire said real property. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois as follows: 1. That one certain quit-claim deed running from Stuart J. Wheeler and Hazel F. Wheeler, husband and wife, as Grantors, to the pity of Canton, as Grantee, hereto attached as Exhibit A, is hereby approved and accepted by the City of Canton. 2. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its approval by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, and approval by the Mayor thereof. PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois at a regular meeting this 21st day of March , 1984, upon a roll call vote as follows: AYES: Aldermen Horr, May, Carl, Workman, Sarff, Savill, Hammond. County of Fulton and State of Illinois, and being more particularly described as follows, TO-WIT: Commencing at the Southeast Corner of Lot 81, Eastmoor Addition to the City of Canton, Section 2; thence West along the South line of Lot 81 a distance of 7.0 feet, more or less; thence South 164.0 feet to the North Right- of-Way Line of East Chestnut Street, City of Canton; thence East along the North Right-of-Way Line of East Chestnut Street in the City of Canton a distance of 7.0 feet, more or less, to the intersection of the North Right-of-Way Line of East Chestnut Street, City of Canton, and 15th Avenue, City of Canton; thence North 164.0 feet, more or less, to the place of beginning.
