A RESOLUTION COMMITING THE CITY OF CANTON IN ITS APPLICATION 'I'0 THE STATE
OF ILLINOIS FOR A COb9MUNITY DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANCE PROGRAM GRANT.
Wf~REAS, the City of Canton is applying to the State of Illinois for a
Community Development Assistance Program grant; and,
WHEREAS, it is necessary that an application be made and agreements
entered into with the State of Illinois.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON,
Fulton County, Illinois, as follows:
1. That the City apply for a grant under the terms and conditions of
the State of Illinois and shall enter into and agree to the understandings
and assurances contained in said application.
2. That the Mayor and City Clerk on behalf of the City execute such
documents and all other documents necessary for the carrying out of said
application.
3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to provide such additional
information as may be required to accomplish the obtaining of such a grant.
4. That former Resolution No. 997 passed on August 30, 1983 relating to
this Community Development Assistance Program grant is hereby specifically
ratified, reapproved and reconfirmed.
5. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately
upon its passage by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County,
Illinois, and approval by the Mayor thereof.
PASSID by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois
at a special meeting this 13th day of September, 1984, upon a roll call vote
as follows:
AYES: Aldermen Horr, May, Carl, Workman, Sarff, Savill, Hammond,
Kovachevich.
NAYS: None ,
