RESOLUTION NO. 1059
A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN EASEMENT ON I~OT 68 IN BARN~;S AND JONES' ADDITION TO THE
CITY OF CANTON FOR THE PURPOSE OF ERECTING A TEI~PHONE TERMINAL CABINET BY ILLINOIS
BELL TELEPHONE COMPANY.
WHEREAS, the Canton City Council has determined, that it is necessary and in
the best interest of the City of Canton, Illinois to grant an easement to Illinois
Bell Telephone Company to erect a telephone terminal cabinet.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON,
Fulton County, Illinois, as follows:
1. That the Easement hereto attached, identified as Exhibit "A" and herein
incorporated by reference is hereby approved by the Canton City Council.
2. That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and instructed to
execute and deliver the same on behalf of the corporate authorities of the City
of Canton, Illinois.
3. That the City Clerk is hereby instructed to deliver a certified copy
of this Resolution to Illinois Bell Telephone Company.
4. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately
upon its passage by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County,
Illinois and approval by the Mayor thereof.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois
at a regular meeting this ~ day of December 1984, upon a roll call
vote as follows:

NAYS: Alderman Sarff

EASEMENT
For good and valuable consideration, receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, the undersigned grantors hereby grant and
convey to ILLINOIS BELL TELEPHONE COMPANY and -------------'----'---'-----------------------------
its/thet# successors and assigns, the right to construct, reconstruct, add to,
remove, operate and maintain communication and electric systems consisting of such poles, anchors, guys, wires, cables, conduits,
terminals, manholes and other fixtures as the grantee may from time to time require for the purpose of tele-communications and for
transmission of heat, light and power by electricity, together with the right of access to the same, including the right to clear and keep
cleared such trees, roots, bushes and other obstructions from the easement described herein to wit: a tract of land,
graphically described on EXHIBIT "A" TELE-COMMUNICATIONS EASEMENT PLAT attached hereto and
made a part hereof, described as the Northerly Ten (10) feet of the Easterly Ten (10) feet
of the following described Real Estate, to-wit:
Lot Number Sixty-eight (68) in Barnes and Jones' Addition to the City of Canton,
Fulton County, Illinois.
