RESOLUTION NO. 1070
A RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF THE "BUILD ILLINOIS" PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the year 1985 is a critical year for economic development in
the State of Illinois; and,
Wf~RE',AS, with the "Build Illinois" program, the State of Illinois may
become a leader in economic growth; and,
WHEREAS, the providing of innovative business development programs through
the "Build Illinois" program will enhance the state's business climate and the
quality of life in the State of Illinois; and,
WHERF,AS, the "Build Illinois" program will also infuse new resources into
the state's foundation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON,
Fulton County, Illinois as follows:
1. That the City of Canton wholeheartedly endorses the "Build Illinois"
program.
2. That the City Clerk is hereby instructed to send certified copies of
this resolution to each of State Senator Luft, State Representative Homer, and
the Illinois Department of Commerce and Community Affaixs.
3. That this resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon
its passage by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois.
PASSID at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Canton,
Fulton County, Illinois this 3rd day of April, 1985 upon a roll call vote
as follows:
AYES: A~.dermen Kovachevich, H~zd, Sarff, Worlanan, Carl, May, Horr.
NAYS: None.
ABSENT: Alderman Savill.
