A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR A PARTIAL PAYMENT OF THE CITY ENGINEER'S SALARY AND
OF CITY DRAFTSMAN'S SALARY FROM THE WATER AND SEWER ACCOUNTS.
WHEREAS, the Committees of the Canton City Council, sitting as a committee
of the whole, has previously determined that the City Engineer and the City
Draftsman spend approximately 33% of their time working on projects directly
involving the City of Canton's Water and Sewer Departments; and,
WHEREAS, said Committee of the whole has determined that it is appropriate
and in the best interest of the City of Canton that a proportionate amount of
the total salary and emoluments paid to or on behalf of the City Engineer and
the City Draftsman be paid from the Water and Sewer Accounts; and,
WHEREAS, the Canton City Council has, by these presence, made a similar
determination.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON,
Fulton County, Illinois, as follows:
1. That the Canton City Council finds the foregoing recitals to be fact.
2. That the Canton City Council hereby directs that 33 and 1/3 percent
of the total salaries and emoluments paid to or on behalf of the City Engineer
and the City Draftsman be paid from Water and Sewer Fund Accounts.
3. That this resolution shall be retroactive to and effective as of the
first day of the current fiscal year.
4. That this resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately
upon its passage by the City Council, the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois,
and approval of the Mayor thereof.
