HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance # 1828~` 1828 Ordinance No._____~___________ An ordinance re-zoning real estate of Donald L Gorsuch and Kathy L Gorsuch located at 155 North Eleventh Avenue, Canton, Fulton County, Illinois from R-2 to B-2. Whereas, an Application for Re-zoning was filed with the City Clerk for the re- zoning of the real estate legally described hereinafter; said real estate being located within the corporate limits of the City of Canton, and Whereas, the present zoning of said real estate is R-2 and it is the request of the owners that it be changed to B-2, and Whereas a public hearing was held by the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Canton on February 21, 2005 pursuant to legal notice of same having been published in the Canton Daily Ledger with no objections being heard, and Whereas the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Canton, by unanimous vote has recommended to the City Council of the City of Canton that the real estate described hereinafter be rezoned pursuant to the statutes and ordinances made and provided, and Whereas, it is in the best interest of the City of Canton that the real estate be rezoned as requested, Now, Therefore Be it Ordained by the City Council of Canton, Illinois as follows: 1. That the City Council hereby finds as fact the matters set forth herein above. 2. That the real estate described as follows be and the same is re-zoned to B-2: A part of Lots Numbered 1 and 2 in Forest View Addition to the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, described as follows: Beginning at a point 60 feet South of a cement marker at the Northwest Corner of Lot 1 in said Addition, thence East 102 feet. thence South 70 feet, thence West 102 feet. thence North 70 feet to the point of beginning, situated in the County of Fulton and State of Illinois. 3. That the Zoning Officer of the City of Canton is directed to make the necessary changes to the zoning maps to properly reflect this change. 4. That the owners, Donald L. Gorsuch and Kathy L. Gorsuch, may record with the County Clerk, ex officio Recorder of Deeds, a certified copy of this Ordinance. 5.
