A RESOLUTION OF SUPPORT FOR THE APPLICATION FOR COMMUNITY DEVETAPMENT
ASSISTANCE PROGRAM FUNDS .FOR THE CITY OF CANTON DOWN'T'OWN PROJECT.
WHEREAS, the City of Canton is applying to the State of Illinois for a
Community Development Assistance Program grant; and,
WHEREAS, it is necessary that an application be made and agreements
entereed into with the State of Illinois.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON,
Fulton County, Illinois, as follows:
1. That the City of Canton apply for a grant under the terms and conditions
of the State of Illinois and shall enter into and agree to the understandings
and assurances contained in said application.
2. That the Mayor and City Clerk on behalf of the City of Canton are hereby
authorized and directed to execute and deliver such documents and all other
documents necessary for the carrying out of said application.
3. That the Mayor and City Clerk of the City of Canton are authorized and
directed to provide such additional information as may be required to accomplish
the obtaining of such grant.
4. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon
its passage by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois
and approval by the Mayor thereof.
PASSID by the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois at a special
meeting this 16th day of September, 1985, upon a roll call vote as follows:
AYES: Aldermen Chapman, May, Workman, Sarff, Falcone, Zilly,
Kovachevich.
NAYS: None .
ABSENT: Alderman Bohler .
