A RESOLUTION SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING ON CERTAIN PROPOSED
AMENDMENTS TO THE CITY OF CANTON°S EXISTING COMPREHENSIVE
PLAN BEFORE THE CORPORATE AUTHORITIES OF THE CITY OF CANTON
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the City of Canton has
referred certain proposed amendments to the Corporate
Authorities of the City of Canton for action; and,
WHEREAS, the Corporate Authorities of the City of Canton,
pursuant to Section 11-12-7, Chapter 24, Illinois Revised
Statutes 1983, are responsible for setting a public hearing
on such proposed amendments.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois as follows:
1. That hearing on the proposed amendments to the City
of Canton's present Comprehensive Plan is hereby set for
date of November 5, 1985 commencing at 7:00 o'clock P.M.,
local time, in the Council Chambers, City Building, 210
E. Chestnut Street, Canton, Illinois. Such public hearing
shall be conducted by and be held before the Corporate
Authorities of the City of Canton.
2. That the City Clerk, with the advice of the City
Attorney, shall publish notice of such hearing in a news-
paper of general circulation in Fulton County, Illinois
not less than 15 days prior to such hearing date, including
the date of the hearing.
3. That this Resolution shall be in full force and
effect immediately upon its passage by the City Council
of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, and
approval by the Mayor thereof.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton
County, Illinois at a regular meeting this 15th_ _ day of
October 1985, upon a roll call vote as
