AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIAL USE/HOME OCCUPATION
PERMIT FOR THE OPERATION OF MASSAGE THERAPY LOCATED AT 529
EAST MYRTLE STREET, CANTON, ILLINOIS TO RACHELLE L. WORKMAN
WHEREAS, it appears to the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County,
Illinois, that the territory hereinafter described is located within the corporate limits of the
City of Canton; and,
WHEREAS, a petition was filed by Rachelle L. Workman to the Planning &
Zoning Commission of said City requesting a special use; and,
WHEREAS, no objectors appeared at said hearings and said commission did
thereupon make favorable findings of fact and did recommend to the Canton City
Council that said special use/home occupation for Massage Therapy at 529 East Myrtle
Street, Canton, Illinois.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CANTON, FULTON COUNTY, ILLINOIS AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, hereby
finds the foregoing recitals to be fact.
2. That a special use ,permit for the home occupation of Massage Therapy, be
issued to Rachelle L. Workman at 529 East Myrtle Street, Canton, Illinois,
affecting real property being legally described as follows:
3. That the record of the City of Canton, appropriated documents, maps and
related regulations be and the same hereby are, amended to reflect the
foregoing special use permit granted herein.
4. 3 %2 feet of even width off the east end of lot Number One (1) in Block
Number Two (2) in U. G. OrendorfPs Subdivision of a part of the Northwest
Quarter of Section 26, Township 7 North, Range 4, east of the Fourth Principal
Meridian, and situated in Fulton County, Illinois.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, at a regular
meeting this 15th~y of March. , 2005 upon a roll call vote as follows:
AYES: Aldermen Sarff, Fillingham, Harn, Carl, Hartford, Reed, West.
NAYS: None.
ABSENT: None.
