A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BIDS OF HILLYER EXCAVATING WITH RESPECT
TO PROJECT NO. 1 (WEST SIDE RELIEF SEWER), AND, PROJECT NO. 2 (SOUTH
SIDE RELIEF SEWER AND PUMPING STATION).
WHEREAS, the Canton City Council has previously solicited com-
petitive bids for Project No. 1 (West Side Relief Sewer), and,
Project No. 2 (South Side Relief Sewer and Pumping Station); and,
WHEREAS, all bids received were publically opened at the regular
City Council Meeting of January 21, 1986; and,
WHEREAS, Hillyer Excavating's bids therefor were: Project No. 1 -
$693,890.00; Project No. 2 - $1,377,905.00, for an aggregate bid of
$2,071,795.00 on both Projects; and,
WHEREAS, the bids of Hillyer Excavating appear to the Canton City
Council to be the lowest and best bids received.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois, as follows:
1. That the Canton City Council hereby finds the foregoing recitals
to be fact.
2. That the bids of Hillyer Excavating in the amounts of: Project
No. 1 - $693,890.00; Project No. 2 - $1,377,905.00, for an aggregate
bid of $2,071,795.00 on both Projects be, and the same hereby is,
accepted, subject to the following conditions:
a. Acceptance is subject to the written approval of said bids
and of the City of Canton's acceptance thereof by the Illinois
Environmental Protection Agency; and,
b. Acceptance is subject to Hillyer Excavating's entering into
a written agreement, or, agreements, with respect to Project
No. 1 and Project No. 2, each of which must be agreeable in
both substance and form to the City of Canton; and,
c. Acceptance is subject to Hillyer Excavating's meeting all
bid specifications and requirements.
3. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect immed-
iately upon its passage by the City Council of the City of Canton,
Fulton County, Illinois, and approval by the Mayor thereof.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County,

AYES: Aldermen Zilly, Steck, Sarff, Workman, Bohler, May,
Chapman .
NAYS: None.
ABSENT: Alderman Kovachevich.
