ORDINANCE N0. ~ 3
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 3, CHAPTER 10, SECTION 7 OF THE CANTON
MUNICIPAL CODE CONCERNING THE PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION OF ANY OF THE
PROVISIONS OF THE PUBLIC CARRIERS ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS, the Legal and Ordinance Committee of the City of Canton,
Illinois has determined that it is necessary, desirable and to the best
interests of the City of Canton to amend Title 3, Chapter 10, Section 7
of the Canton Municipal Code concerning the penalty for the violation of
any of the provisions of the public carriers ordinance; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois has made
a similar determination.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF

CANTON, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
1. That Title 3, Chapter 10, Section 7 of the Canton Municipal Code
be, and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
"3-10-7: PENALTY:
Whoever shall be guilty of violation of any of the
provisions of any Section of this Chapter shall be
subject to a fine of not less than fifteen dollars
($15.00) nor more than one hundred dollars ($100.00)
for each offense."
2. That the remainder of Title 3, Chapter 10, Public Carriers,
of the Canton Municipal Code remain in full force and effect.
3. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon its
passage by the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois and approval
by the Mayor thereof.
