ORDINANCE
Rezoning Property of OLIVER LARRY HOERMAN
at 1063 E. Chestnut Street in the City of
Canton, Illinois.

WHEREAS, it appears to the City Council of the City of
Canton, Illinois, that the property hereinafter described is
located within the City Limits of the City of Canton, Illinois,
at a common address of 1063 E. Chestnut Street, and
IT FURTHER APPEARING to said City Council that the
property is improved with a 2-story residential dwelling thereon
which is currently zoned in a R-1 zoning configuration, single
family residence, and
IT FURTHER APPEARING to said City Council that the
property located to the North of the parcel hereinafter described
is utilized in an R-3 duplex zoning configuration and that the
property immediately East of the territory hereinafter described
is zoned in a B-1 business zoning configuration and that the
property to the Southeast of the property hereinafter described
is also zoned in a B-1 zoning configuration, and
IT FURTHER APPEARING to said City Council that the
Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Canton held a public
hearing on the rezoning request by Oliver Larry Hoerman on the
11th day of February 1980 and said Planning and Zoning Commission
has unanimously recommended rezoning of the property hereinafter
described to an R-3 Duplex zoning configuration.
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS:
SECTION l: That the territory described herein be and
the same is hereby zoned in an R-3 zoning configuration, to-wit:
The East Fifty-five (55) feet of Lot 26, James
Seery's Addition to the City of Canton, County
of Fulton and State of Illinois.

Section 2: That the Zoning Administrator be and he is
.ereby directed to make the appropriate changes on the zoning map
>f the City of Canton in accordance with this ordinance.
Section 3: That this ordinance shall be in effect from
end after a majority vote of the City Council of the City of
;anton, Illinois, and approved by the Mayor thereof.
PASSED by a majority vote of the City Council of the
