ORDINANCE N0. 0
AN ORDINANCE MAKING THE ANNUAL APPROPRIATION FOR CORPORATE
PURPOSES OF THE CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS FOR THE FISCAL YEAR
BEGINNING MAY 1, 1981 and ENDING APRIL 30, 1982.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Canton,
Fulton County, Illinois, as follows:
Section 1. That the following sums of money, or so much

thereof as may be authorized by law, be and the same are hereby
appropriated to pay all necessary expenses and liabilities of
the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, for the fiscal
year beginning May 1, 1981 and ending April 30, 1982, such
appropriations are hereby made for the following objects and
purposes:
CITY ADMINISTRATION:
A tax not to exeed .250% of the full
fair cash value, as equalized or
assessed by the Department of Revenue
of the State of Illinois, on all tax-
able property in the City of Canton,

the City of Canton, Illinois to be known as
the Public Benefit Fund solely for the
purpose of paying that portion of several
amounts heretofore assessed against the City
for public benefits under and in pursuance of
any Ordinance that may be hereafter passed
or assessed against this City:

2. That the City Council may, at any time after the first
half of this Fiscal Year, by a two-thirds vote of its membership,
make a transfer whithin any department or other separate agency
of the City Government, of sums of money appropriated for one
corporate object or purpose to another corporate object or purpose,
but no appropriation for any object or purpose shall thereby be
reduced below any amount sufficient to cover all obligations
incurred or to be incurred against such appropriation.
3. By a vote of two-thirds of the City Council, this
Appropriation Ordinance may be revised by deleting, adding to,
changing or creating new objects or purposes for which appropriations
have or may be made. No revision of this Appropriation Ordinance
shall be made adding to the total amount appropriated unless
additional funds have been made available during the Fiscal Year
in the amount the total appropriations are so increased.
4. This Ordinance shall be known as the "Annual Appropriation
Ordinance" of the City of Canton, Illinois.
5. This Ordinance shall be in effect ten days after its
passage by the City Council, approval of the Mayor and publication
according to law.

The pamphlet form of the aforesaid Ordinance No. 892 including
the Ordinance and a cover s'_^.eet t'nereof was prepared, and a copy of such
Ordinance was posted in the City Building, 210 E. Chestnut Street, Canton,
Illinois, commencing on July 22 19 81 and continuing for
at least ten (10) days thereafter. Copies of such Ordinance were also
available for public inspection upon request in the Office of the City
Clerk.
