ORDINANCE N0. ..944 `"
ALLOWING A SPECIAL USE PERMIT FOR CERTAIN PROPERTY
OF GEORGIA JILL HOOKER IN THE CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, it appears to the City Council of the City of
Canton, Illinois, that the territory hereinafter described is
located within the corporate limits of said City, said premises
being generally located at a common address known as 535 North
Twelfth Street, Canton, Illinois, and,
WHEP.EAS, a petition for special use permit for a home occu-
pation was duly filed by the Petitioners and due and proper notice
thereof was published in the Canton Daily Ledger, according to
the Statutes of the State of Illinois and the Ordinances of the
City of Canton, Illinois, and,
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held before the Planning and
Zoning Commission of the City of Canton, Illinois, on August 16,
1982, concerning said petition for special use of home occupation
and said Planning and Zoning Commission did by unanimous vote at
said time recommend to the City Council of the City of Canton,
Illinois, that the property hereinafter described be granted a
special use permit for home occupation for a one-chair beauty shop.
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CANTON, ILLINOIS:
Section 1. That the territory hereinafter described be and
the same is hereby allowed a special use for a home occupation
to operate a one-chair beauty shop upon said premises which is
more particularly described as follows:
Lot Number Four (4) in Block Number Five (5) in F.A.
Cobleigh`s Addition to the City of Canton, Fulton
county, Illinois.
all as provided by Title 10, Chapter 5, Section 3(c) and Title 10,
Chapter 1, Section 2 of the City Code of the City of Canton.
Section 2. That the records of the City of Canton, appro-
priate documents, maps and related regulations be and the same are
hereby amended so that the territory hereinabove described shall
be and the same is hereby granted a special use for home occupation
for a one-chair beauty shop all as provided by the City Code of the
City of Canton.
Section 3. That this Ordinance shall be in effect from and
after a majority vote of the City Council of the City of Canton,
Illinois, and approval by the Mayor thereof.
PASSED BY A MAJORITY VOTE OF THE CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS,
AND APPROVED BY THE MAYOR THEREOF THIS 7th DAY OF September ,
1982, A.D.
