ORDINANCE N0. 94Q
AN ORDINANCE REPEALING TITLE 8, CHAPTER 1, SECTION 3 (R) OF THE CANTON
MUNICIPAL CODE.
WHEREAS, the Committee on Grievance, Negotiations and Personnel has
determined that it is no longer necessary to retain the position of
Assistant to the City Engineer; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County,
Illinois has made a similar determination.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois as follows:
1. That Title 8, Chapter 1, Section 3 (R) of the Canton Municipal
Code is hereby repealed insofar as the same relates to the position of
Assistant to the City Engineer.
2. That Resolution Number 903 passed by the Canton City Council on
or about August 18, 1981 is hereby specifically approved, ratified, and
confirmed. Further, all acts and doings of the various City Officials
in the implementation of Resolution ~~903 are hereby approved and confirmed
from date of August 18, 1981 to the date hereof.
3. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon its
passage by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois,
approval by the Mayor thereof and publication in pamphlet form as provided
by law.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County,
Illinois this 17th day of August 1982 at a regular
meeting and upon a roll call vote as follows:
AYES: Aldermen Kovachevich, Hammond, Savill, Sarff, Grant, Carl,
Larsen.
NAYS: None.
ABSENT: Alderman Horr.
