An Ordinance Annexing Property of Betty Painter, Otis Beadles,
Beatrice Fulton, Gerald Carrier, Lois Shockency, Harry Wagner, Jo-
seph Windsor, Bessie Lillie, Hazel Sepich, Harvey and Elizabeth Jump,
Everett Sappington, Robert L. Wilson, Daniel E. Foulke and Florence
Laden, To The City of Canton, Illinois.
WHEREAS, it appears to the City Council of the City of Canton,
Illinois, that the territory hereinafter described is not within
the corporate limits of any municipality but is contiguous to the
City of Canton, Illinois, and;
It is further appearing to the said City Council that this
property is located in an area which is well-suited for residential
purposes and therefore, should be annexed as Zoning Configuration
AG-1, and;
It further appearing to the said City Council that the pre-
mises hereinafter described are owned by Betty Painter, Otis Beadles,
Beatrice Fulton, Gerald Carrier, Lois Shockency, Harry Wagner, Jo-
seph Windsor, Bessie Lillie, Hazel Sepich, Harvey and Elizabeth Jump,
Everett Sappington, Robert L. Wilson, Daniel E. Foulke and Florence
Laden, and they comprise the majority of the electors that reside
""'~.,~ therein, and that all the above are owners of property which is here-
inafter described and that they have joined in the petition to annex
said property to the City of Canton as shown by the records of this
Council.
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of
Canton, Illinois:
Section 1. That the territory described as follows:
A part of the Southeast Quarter of Section 34, Township
7 North, Range 4 East, of the Fourth Principal Meridian, be-
tween the Town of Canton, County of Fulton, being described
as follows:
Beginning at a point bearing South 88°-57' West a distance
of 1,274 feet from the Southeast corner of the Southeast
Quarter of Section 34; thence North 0°-29' West a distance
of 264.75 feet, said point of beginning being an iron pipe
in the North boundary line of Shamrock Street; thence North
0°-12' West a distance of 258.83 feet to an iron pipe in
the South boundary line of Beech Street; thence North 88°-
54' East a distance of 616 feet along the South line of
Beech Street; thence South 0°-12' East a distance of 299.86
feet; thence South 89°-0' West, a distance of 220 feet;

129.86 feet; thence West 170 feet; thence North 128.83 feet;
thence West 50 feet; thence South 128.83 feet; thence South
89°-0' West a distance of 96 feet along the said North line

(The above legal description includes all lots in Plat 65-
8949 of Mobile Home Gardens recorded in the Fulton County
Clerk's Office except Lots 19 and 24.)
be and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Canton, Illinois.
Section 2. That this property shall be annexed as AG-1, and
are taken in as nonconforming uses.
Section 3. That a certified copy of this ordinance, together
with an accurate map of the territory described, shall be recorded
with the Recorder of Deeds of Fulton County, Illinois.
Section 4. That this ordinance shall be in effect from and
after a majority vote of the City Council of the City of Canton,
Illinois, and approved by the mayor.
