AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING PARKING ON THE THE EAST SIDE OF VAN BUREN
COURT BETWEEN PINE STREET AND A POINT 65 FEET SOUTHERLY THEREFROM
WHEREAS, the Legal and Ordinance Committee of the City of Canton,
Fulton County, Illinois has determined that it is necessary to
prohibit parking on the East side of Van Buren Court in the City
of Canton between the South curb line of Pine Street and a point
65 feet Southerly therefrom on the East curb line of Van Buren
Court; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County,
Illinois has made a similar determination.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois as follows:
1. That no parking of any motor vehicle shall be permitted on
the East side of Van Buren Court in the City of Canton, Fulton
County, Illinois between the South curb line of Pine Street and
a point 65 feet Southerly therefrom on the East curb line of
Van Buren Court.
2. That the Street Superintendant shall post appropriate signs
and appropriate markings informing the public of this provision.
3. Any person who violates this Ordinance shall, upon conviction,
be subject to a fine of not less than Five Dollars ($5.00) nor more
than Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) for each such violation.
4. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
ten (10) days after its passage by the City Council of the City of
Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, approval by the Mayor thereof, and
publication in pamphlet form as prouided by law.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County,
Illinois at a regular meeting this ~_ day of ~„o ,

AYES• Aldermen Horr, Carl, Grant, Sarff, Savill, Hammond.
NAYS: done.
ABSENT• Alderman Kovachevich, Alderman Clarke resigned.
