HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution #5311 RESOLUTION NO. 5311 A RESOLUTION REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 5303-A REGARDING A NOTICE FOR BIDS TO PURCHASE ALL OR PART OF LOTS 9 AND 11-20 OF OLD BEACH ADDITION SUBDIVISION WHEREAS,the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois ("City"), is a non-home rule unit of government; WHEREAS, the City currently owns real estate described as: Lots 1-20 of Old Beach Addition, a subdivision of a part of the northeast quarter of Section 30, Township 7 North, Range 5 East of the Fourth Principal Meridian, Fulton County Illinois, as set forth in the plat recorded in the Recorder's Office of Fulton County, Illinois, as Document No. 1778527, containing 11.378 acres, more or less (hereinafter "Old Beach Addition"); WHEREAS,on or about March 16,2021,the City adopted Resolution No. 5303-A,which, in part, authorized the publishing of a notice to obtain bids for all or parts of Lots 9 and 11-20 of Old Beach Addition; and WHEREAS, the corporate authorities have determined that it is the best interests of the City to publish a new notice due to desiring to remove certain lots from the lots being bid for sale. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON, FULTON COUNTY, ILLINOIS AS FOLLOWS: 1. Resolution No. 5303-A is hereby repealed; 2. The City Clerk is directed to publish a notice on the City's website that no bids will be considered in relation to Resolution No5303-A; 3. The City reserves the right to publish a new notice to bid any and/or all lots of Old Beach Addition; 4. This Resolution shall be in full force and effective immediately upon its passage by the City Council of the City of Canton and approval by the Mayor thereof PASSED AND APPROVED THIS 26th day of April, 2021.
