ORDINANCE NO. 926
AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE #543, BEING: "AN ORDINANCE
DETERMINING THE CREATION OF A CONSERVATION BOARD AND PROCEDURE
UNDER THE URBAN COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ACT OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS
(ILL. REV. STAT. 1975, CH. 672, §91.8 et sequi)".
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County,
Illinois did, on or about May 4, 1976, adopt Ordinance #543,
entitled: "An Ordinance Determining the Creation of a Conservation
Board and Procedure Under the Urban Community Development Act of
the State of Illinois (I11. Rev. Stat. 1975, Ch. 672, § 91.8 et
sequi)"; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County,
Illinois has now determined that it is no longer in its best interest
to continue to perpetuate such ordinance.
P10W, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois, as follows:
1. That Ordinance #543, entitled: "An Ordinance Determining the
Creation of a Conservation Board and Procedure Under the Urban Community
Development Act of the State of Illinois (I11. Rev. Stat. 1975, Ch. 672,
§ 91.8 et sequi)", adopted on or about May 4, 1976, is hereby repealed
in its entirety.
2. That the "Conservation Board" authorized by said Ordinance
#543 is hereby abolished.
3. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately
upon its passage by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton
County, Illinois and approval by the Mayor thereof.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County,
Illinois this 4th day of May 1982 upon a
roll call vote as follows:
AYES: Aldermen Horr, Clarke, Carl, Grant, Sarff, Savi,ll, Hammond, Kova.chevich.
NAYS: None.
ABSENT: None.
