ORDINANCE NO. 920
AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING PARKING ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF OUSTER PLACE
IN THE CITY OF CANTON, FULTON COUNTY, ILLINOIS BETWEEN FIFTH AVENUE
AND NINTH AVENUE
WHEREAS, the Streets and Garbage Committee of the City of Canton,
Fulton County, Illinois has determined that it is necessary to
prohibit parking on the South side of Custer Place in the City
of Canton between Fifth Avenue and Ninth Avenue; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County,
Illinois has made a similar determination.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois as follows:
1. That no parking of any motor vehicle shall be permitted
on the South side of Custer Place in the City of Canton between
the East curb line of Fifth Avenue and the West curb line of
Ninth Avenue.
2. That the Street Superintendant and all other City officials
shall post appropriate signs and make appropriate markings informing
the public of this prohibition.
3. Any person who violates this Ordinance shall, upon conviction,
be subject to a fine of not less than Five Dollars ($5.00) nor more
than Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00) for each such offense.
4. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect ten (10)
days after its passage by the City Council of the City of Canton,
Fulton County, Illinois, approval by the Mayor thereof, and publication
in pamphlet form as provided by law.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County,
Illinois this 16th day of February 1982, at a
regular meeting and upon a roll call vote as follows:
AYES: Aldermen Hammond, Sarff, Grant, Carl, Clarke, Horr.
NAYS: None
ABSENT: Aldermen Kovachevich, Selfridge.
