ORDINANCE NO. 91q
AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING PARKING ON THE EAST SIDE OF ELEVENTH
AVENUE IN THE CITY OF CANTON, FULTON COUNTY, ILLINOIS BETWEEN
LOCUST STREET AND ASH STREET
WHEREAS, the Streets and Garbage Committee of the City of
Canton, Fulton County, Illinois ha.s determined that it is necessary
to prohibit parking on the East side of Eleventh Avenue in the
City of Canton between Locust Street and Ash Street; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County,
Illinois has made a similar determination.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois as follows:
1. That no parking of any motor vehicle shall be permitted
on the East side of Eleventh Avenue in the City of Canton between
the South curb line of Ash Street and the North curb line of
Locust Street.
2. That the Street Superintendant and all other City officials
shall post appropriate signs and make appropriate markings inform-
ing the public of this prohibition.
3. Any person who violates this Ordinance shall, upon conviction,
be subject to a fine of lot less than Five Dollars ($5.00) nor more
than Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00) for each such offense.
4. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect ten (10)
days after its passage by the City Council of the City of Canton,
Fulton County, Illinois, approval by the Mayor thereof, and publication
in pamphlet form as provided by law.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County,
Illinois this 1Fith day of FPbruar~f , 1982, at a regular
meeting and upon a roll call vote as follows:
AYES: Aldermen Horr, Clarke, Carl, Grant, Sarff, Hammond.
NAYS: None.
ABSENT: Aldermen Selfridge,

The pamphlet form of the aforesaid Ordinance No. 919 including
the Crdinance and a cover s?~eet thereof tiaas prepared, and a cony of such
Ordinance Baas posted in the City Building, 210 E. Chestnut Street, Canton,
Illinois, cotr~nencing on February 17th 19 82 and continuing for
at least ten (10) days therea~ter. Copies of such Ordinance Caere also
av~:ilable for public inspection upon reduest in the Office of the City
Clerk.
